An Indigenous woman returned donations from the DSWD social amelioration program.

The woman from San Enrique, Iloilo proved that poverty is not an obstacle to doing good.

In a post on the Facebook page of the PIA or Philippine Information Agency, the native identified as Helen Segura can be seen in a photo where she is holding money worth P6,000.00

The agency explained in the caption that the faithful woman had previously received assistance from the 4Ps or Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

Helen is a member of the indigenous Ati. They belong to the Negrito ethnic group in the Visayas. They are particularly found in Boracay, Panay, and Negros. They are related to other ethnic groups such as Aeta, Batak, and Mamanwa.
