Pro-Duterte accounts silenced by Twitter - GazeFeed

Social media platforms Twitter has suspended several hundred accounts using the hashtag showing support for President Rodrigo Duterte over his actions in the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the Washington Post's report, the accounts were punished for allegedly violating Twotter's spam policy, which included tweeting multiple accounts, using multiple accounts, and sending multiple replies and mentions.

Several hashtags came after trending #OustDuterte, which rose after the President said he would shoot leftists if military and military life was threatened.

In response to Presidential supporters, the hashtags #IstandWithThePresident and #OursDuterte were created.
