China pays $ 6.5 trillion due to COVID-19 pandemic - GazeFeed

The Chinese government has to pay $ 6.5-trillion or P329.1-trillion due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is according to a London based think tank, The Henry Jackson Society, because of the 10 cases that the international court can handle after COVID-19 spread worldwide, killing more than 60,000 people worldwide.

According to The Henry Jackson Society's Coronavirus Compensation report, the G7 nation, which includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, spent $ 6.5 trillion to control the virus.

Some of China's alleged violations are the International Health Regulations, and the country's concealment of information according to the think tank is if other nations find out that the virus will not spread outside China.

One of these is the concealment of China's human-to-human transmission, which when the World Health Organization reported the virus on December 31 said there was no evidence it was passed between people.

According to the Henry Jackson Society, instead of investigating, they silenced a doctor, Li Wenliang, the first medical practitioner to detect the virus and warned about it.

“In its early response, Wuhan and Hubei breached [International Health] Regulations… responsibility goes to the top of the regime. It appears more than probable that the Chinese Communist Party's response to COVID-19 was in breach of international law, ”the think tank said.
