106-year-old grandmother, won the fight against COVID-19 - GazeFeed


A 106-year-old grandmother, believed to be the oldest surviving COVID-19 survivor in Britain, has been recovered from the new coronavirus and has been released from the hospital.

Connie Titchen from Birmingham was applauded by City Hospital staff on her way home. It fought the virus for just 3 weeks.

"I feel very lucky that I've fought off this virus," Titchen said. “I can't wait to see my family.”

Born in 1913, Titchen survived the Russian revolutions of 1917 and both world wars.

Mid-March he was hospitalized for suspected pneumonia, after which he recovered and recovered from COVID-19.

His 40-year-old grandson Alex Jones said in a Reuters report that Titchen was physically active and very independent.
