Easy special Banana Turon recipe - GazeFeed

Street foods in the Philippines is very popular. Filipinos love to eat cheap foods in the street not just because of its prices but it is also delicious! Most people nowadays are very practical when it comes to spending their money. They make sure that their money will be spent in a wise way or worth it. Imagine spending a small amount of money and you enjoyed the food very well, it is fulfilling right? So here in GazeFeed, we will be teaching you now how to prepare your favorite merienda, Banana Turon. 

What are the Ingredients?

1/4 Cup of Coffee-creamer

1/4 Cup of confectioners' (Powdered sugar)

1/2 Teaspoon of ground cinnamon

1 Tablespoon of Sesame-seeds

6 Pieces of Bananas (Saba) 

18 Larrge size of Lumpia wrappers

1 Cup of ripe Jackfruit or Langka (Cut into strips)

1/4 Cup of Salted-butter

2 Teaspoons of Vanilla for flavoring

2 Teaspoons of Banana (essence)

1 Teaspoon of ground cinnamon

1 1/2 Tablespoons of dark rum

1 Cup of Pineapple-juice

1/2 Cup of Muscovado-sugar

1/2 Cup of Dark-brown-sugar

3/4 of Cooking-Oil (For deep-frying)



How is the process of cooking?

1. In a clean flat bowl, mix confectioners' sugar, coffee creamer, cinnamon and set aside. 
2. Preheat your cooking-oil for deep frying and use the "chopstick-method" to check if the oil is ready for deep fry. 
3. Fry the turon in a wait for the golden-brown color. Remove it and drain using the paper towels or you can use tissues. It will help to absorb those remaining oil inside the turon. 
4. Serve hot and enjoy!
